No day is the same at SAP, concert tours all require different needs and employees are required to meet those needs. Hockey games are always rewarding with the home feel you get in the building. Lots of at work perks, good work is always recognized.
It was enjoyable working at the SAP Center. You mainly work outside, meet a lot of new people, and something is always going on. It's a great job for a high school student or if you just want a little cash on the side. However, it doesn't really offer much room for growth, the work can get a little boring after a while, and the hours are not guaranteed. If you're looking for a more serious and stable job, I do not recommend this place.
The manager was extremely difficult to work with if you didnt agree with him on everything. Saw employees leave in the middle of their shifts due to sheer anger they would get toward him. Employees would also but heads with each other constantly.
Working at SAP center was extremely easy for the pay. The work environment felt comfortable and management was well organized. Friendly employees all throughout the different concepts.
Able to get leftover tickets, good pay
Not enough hours, always being outside, being on your feet all day, need more uniforms
There are a lot of issues with working within a structure like the SAP Center, but the employee's who are dedicated to making it one of the best sporting/entertainment venue in the nation. The employee's truly make the job worth staying. But most of this is lost by management that only see clogs in a chain, and take it for granted that the amount of work and dedication required to make the overall system work and function as well as it does. It's this lack of vision by those in the upper management division that makes any hopes of retention of new employees a never ending uphill battle, which results in over working the employees who have stayed the course through all of stress that is placed upon them. There is also the pay rate in which they pay the employees are paid. Most of the employees live well below the poverty line, and usually work two or more jobs just to get by. The cost of living keeps going up in the area, but the pay required to maintain a way of life has not. Not even for those who have years of service to the company.
