Novartis gives its employees opportinity to get align with its corporate life. Invest lots of money in development of new employees without asking for immediate result. The company has proper corporate atmosphere which allows to build warm relation within the team (outdoor activities, social events), with tolerant ethic which is easy to be in line with.
A typical day starts from a few possibly timeframes (from 8,9,10 a.m.) but finishes not later than standart working hour day (usually long hours). Normally starts from some daily routine work such as cheking of the corporate e-mail. Than everyone has its own plan for work, I usually work in line with working plan prepared after e-mail check, sometimes egreeing the plan with a line functional manager. At lunch time everyone defines themselfs where to eat (partly lunch costs are payed by the company), possibly to have late lunch. In the second part of the day people have meetings, presentation etc.
